Laguna Beach’s historic La Casa del Camino hotel has recently undergone a seasonal rebrand of its Comedor restaurant for the summer. The reimagined restaurant, in partnership with the popular lifestyle and clothing company, Dandy Del Mar, has undergone a complete transformation from the menu to the decor, aimed at providing guests with an upscale space designed to foster conversation with family and friends over coastal cuisine in the refined lounge.
The restaurant’s redesign comes in collaboration with resort-wear brand Dandy Del Mar. The refined apparel brand creates clothing that redefines luxury, leisure, and style. In collaboration with Dandy Del Mar’s Summer of Leisure campaign, Comedor's new design creates a space that exemplifies a luxurious coastal experience right next to the Laguna Beach coast. The reimagined menus, refreshed venue, and lively entertainment offer all the ingredients for an unforgettable, and leisure-filled summer in Laguna Beach.
The refined dining experience at Comedor, developed by Chef Glen Tinsley, offers a new and vibrant menu featuring dishes that will transport guests to the most exotic of equatorial locales.
The coastal-inspired menu features appetizers, salads, and refined entrées such as the Plancha Roasted Fresh Catch (Alaskan potatoes, yellow squash, peas, asparagus, tamarind blood orange vinaigrette) and Duck Carnitas Tostada (cabbage salad, smashed avocado, refried chorizo beans, salsa crudo verde).
Comedor also features a show-stopping lineup of cocktails. The all-new drink menu features spirit-forward options such as the Vodka Vesper (citrus oil, fennel liqueur, and grapefruit white sage tincture), and Dandy Martini (Italian gin, extra dry vermouth, house brine, thyme tincture).
Continuing the beach-scape aesthetic, the newly furnished interior offers elevated finishes and lounge-style seating for guests to enjoy small bites and cocktails. In addition, guests can also enjoy live entertainment throughout the week featuring local artists and musicians, and live DJs.
Comedor is taking reservations for the Summer of Leisure collaboration with Dandy Del Mar through the end of October. Reservations are highly recommended and will be available through Resy.
Comedor is located at 1289 S. Coast Hwy. and is open each day of the week except Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
